North West is developing her own musical style while continuing to draw inspiration from her father, Kanye West.
During an appearance on Emwell’s Well Well Well YouTube show, the 13-year-old revealed that “Homecoming,” featuring Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, is her favorite song from Kanye West’s 2007 album Graduation.
North also discussed her interest in music production and how she creates beats. She explained that she often listens to different songs for inspiration and enjoys experimenting with samples. She currently uses Ableton software to develop her ideas.
The conversation also touched on her experiences working with her father in Japan. North recalled practicing fast rapping and performing without instrumental backing during their sessions together.
Her connection to Graduation extends beyond the music. In 2023, she dressed as the album’s recognizable bear character for Halloween.
North has already begun exploring her own creative direction through music, combining production techniques with the skills she has developed while working alongside her father.
