Ingredients
- 4 oz (115g) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- Butter + cocoa powder (for greasing ramekins)
Instructions
1. Prep the ramekins
Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease 4 ramekins with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder.
2. Melt chocolate & butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate and butter in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
3. Mix the batter
Whisk in powdered sugar until combined. Add eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla. Stir until smooth, then fold in flour and salt.
4. Fill & bake
Divide batter evenly into ramekins. Bake for 12–14 minutes—the edges should be set but the center still soft.
5. Serve immediately
Let sit 1 minute, then carefully invert onto plates. The center should flow when cut.
