Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice
- Optional: lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
1. Make a simple syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar fully dissolves. Let it cool slightly.
2. Juice the lemons
Roll the lemons on the counter, then cut and squeeze until you have 1 cup of juice. Strain out seeds and pulp if desired.
3. Mix
In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup and the remaining 3 cups cold water. Stir well.
4. Chill & serve
Refrigerate or pour over ice. Taste and adjust—add more water if too strong or more sugar if too tart. Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
