The North Carolina State Highway Patrol Needs Your Help

On February 6, at 12:46 am, the State Highway Patrol responded to a reported hit and run fatal collision on US Highway 70 just east of Pender Street and 2.1 miles east of New Bern within James City. Vehicle one, a Gray (Sterling Gray) Ford Fusion (2010-2012 year model), was traveling west on US Highway 70 when it struck a pedestrian. Vehicle one fled from the scene west on US 70 after the collision.

The involved pedestrian was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Currently, the State Highway Patrol in looking for a 2010-2012 Gray (Sterling Gray) Ford Fusion. The driver’s side mirror and the driver’s side front fog light will be completely missing. There will be front end damage and windshield damage to the vehicle.
